storytime

In need to listen to fresh stories today.
So, c;mon
and write me something,
I can read while sipping on coffee.
Write anything,
an epic from last year,
a memory on a fresh loaf of bread,
tell me a travel tale,
spin me a yarn,
tell me a fantastic fib,
anything!
As long as it's not soppy.
As long as I can read it with my coffee.

Once upon a time there lived a king!......... n he was known as elvis presley!!.....

well..... better story next time..... till then i'll go ponder how he drove down in his truck to sam phillips' recording studio to sing a song for his mom....... bet it must have been quite a task..... n m not talking about driving or singing...... but being a king even without his kingdom was just great.....

Well I'll tell you a travel tale...

on the road today on my way to Jaipur from Bikaner...

We stopped for lunch in a shady ‘bar and restaurant’ . Why ‘shady’? Simple. I was traveling with half a dozen yanks, who would refuse to stop at any place with ‘no bar attached’.

At first the place seemed decent enough a south Indian owned place in the middle of rajasthan, all bright and happy, but then drinks would be served only in the ‘bar’ area, which was in another section of the restaurant. So we were led to a room with tinted glass, smoky, a TV in the corner with ‘Sun music’ and few framed posters with fat women giving a Kerala massage under a coconut tree. The gang started putting the drinks while I sat with a ‘Sprint’ a version of Sprite. A couple of notable items- “Shiva’s Regal XXX” and “Miss Chief”.

I chose the Vegetable biryani, which was the most awful thing I have had in a long time, well at least it ‘looked’ better that the "Laal Maans" the rest were gorging, that was the only consolation....
